You may have seen our latest update just a few days ago about our efforts to move into town. Things do appear to be heading in the right direction, with plenty of planning and design work to complete over these next few months. There's still a lot of work to do, and we do still need lots of support.

As we've said many times before, we need folks from the Columbus community to support our efforts by having fun at our facility, whether it be through attending skate sessions, playing in one (or more) of our sports leagues, or even just purchasing a season pass.

Now is a very critical time in our efforts, and your support is needed more than ever. As we progress through negotiations for this new complex, we need more kids registered for our leagues. We need more families out at the rink for skating. We need your input, too.

We are extending our indoor soccer deadline through December 31st. Our roller hockey leagues will offer up a free night on January 9th so your child can try hockey before you commit to a league (we provide all the gear). Adult dodgeball will also start a new season late-January. As always, we're open for skating and laser tag Friday and Saturday evenings every week (we'll be closed Christmas Eve, however).

We would very much appreciate your support in any way. Even if you need a last-minute Christmas gift, we have season passes and gift cards available. We are extending our season pass offer through December 23rd ($150 for one full year of admission to every skate session, including skate rental).

All of these options are a lot of fun, and will help us solidify the support we need to keep the project moving forward.

But, I'm not here just to ask for your support in those ways. We also need your feedback for how we can make this project work for Columbus.

Currently, we are able to offer three sports at our Wishbones location, and only through the colder months. Our new facility will be capable of hosting over a dozen sports, indoors and out, making it a true year-round facility.

We will have a larger skating rink, full-size laser tag arena, bounce houses, expanded arcade and prize counter, additional seating, and much better layout. We'll also add some outdoor entertainment as well, such as go-karts. Couple that with a small restaurant for added convenience and the new location will be able to meet a number of needs in one convenient facility.

If you have kids that participate in soccer, baseball, softball, and other sports, our facility will be fully prepared to offer indoor training/practice space, or even space for those organizations to host their own leagues or tournaments.

Even if you don't have any kids playing sports, our facility will serve as a host site for a number of other activities, receptions, family gathering space, and more. Even local schools will benefit from us being around.

We've been listening to the community for a number of years fine tuning our plan in order to build a multi-purpose, flexible facility to meet the needs of a wide number of groups.

But, to make sure we've corrected other issues leading up to the opening of the new facility, we'd like to turn our attention toward that at this time. If you have a group or organization that might have a use for such a facility, please still reach out to us so that we can get you on our schedule to reserve your space now.

However, we'd also like to hear about what areas we need to improve on. From staffing issues to layout to leagues, we'd like to hear from you. What changes would you like to see? What can we do to be better? If you haven't visited us in a while, why not? This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We'll implement whatever changes we can as soon as possible.

I've mentioned it several times before... I know that our facility is in rough shape. I know it isn't the most convenient location. But, I hope that for just a few more months we can set that aside and come out and show your support for what we have to offer now so that our community can benefit in the future.

The new facility is going to be great, and we have all of you to thank for allowing us the time to make it all happen. Please help us make this happen. Tell your family, tell your friends. Sign up for leagues, come out for some skating. Bottom line, let's have some fun and get this done!

Please continue to check our website and social media locations for ongoing updates to our efforts for a new facility. We will be emailing and posting updates online. Please share with your family or friends to help us make this happen. Thanks in advance for your help!
